8 ways you might be over-parenting. There are many parenting styles today. One of the most destructive parenting styles is over-parenting. This basically means doing too much for our kids. When we over function as parents our kids, in turn, under function. This ends up hurting our kids.

    I would drive my kids to school instead of use the bus because bullying got so bad on busses. Bus drivers were texting while driving and not caring about fights going on right in their rear view. On the ride to school we are able to talk and laugh together. I don’t see how that is over parenting. It’s choosing to get them to school a safer way.
