A New Narrative: Talking to your teens about TV/Movies: Vlog 3 of 5

Talking to your kids about TV/Movies. This is part 3 of a 5 part video blog (vlog) series where we will be looking at trying to change the narrative of how we speak to our kids about technology. We will look at current ways parents talk to teens about tech and then look at a new narrative that teens will respond to better. Today we look at a new way to talk to our kids around the conversations on TV/Movies.

We need to move from telling to teaching. From telling them what to do to teaching them how to make good decisions in the area of tech.

There are 6 chapters on parenting as well as a chapter on media that goes more into detail on this topic in my book Parenting: Navigating Everything. Click Here. Talking to your teens about TV/Movies also means you need to have a relationship with your kids to be able to have any sort of influence with your kids on this topic. The first 6 chapters of my book helps with that relationship.

I also linked a few other videos that are good to add to this conversation as well.
